I really wasn't prepared to actually learn anything from this book. I truly thought this book would be a recap of what I already knew. I was wrong! I had recently read, "Tickle His Pickle: Your Hands-On Guide to Penis Pleasing," by Sadie Allison, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I had tried out some of her techniques and positions -- and I was surprised to find that her suggestions in both areas had worked out much better than I had expected. Given these successes, I was curious to see if another book, "The Ultimate Guide to Fellatio," by Violet Blue, would teach me even more.

The first half of the book deals with basics, like mental preparation, anatomy, STD's (sexually transmitted diseases) and hygiene. As the "Ultimate Guide," this work's treatment of `swallowing,' though, is woefully scattered and unfocused. And I definitely could've done without the section on how to give oral love to a strap-on, which seemed to me like a total waste of time.

Good coffee table book

I purchased this book to prank my wife. I thought I'll place this on the coffee table among all other coffee table books (when she isn't looking) and this could be a great conversation starter when we have guests over. Well, not only was this a great conversation starter, it was also a HUGE hit. Some of my friends have borrowed this book since because they claim to love "reading" this (over and over again I might add). Hence I'm guessing that the stick-figure drawings inside this book must be somewhat "useful". That automatically deserves a 5-star rating in my opinion.

Great book to explore and discover new things/positions. It shows simple illustrations and provides tips and humor along with each one. 69 total positions/workouts are there at 4 levels. I have to admit the 4th level is on some cirque de solei type stuff. Great gift!

Fun and interesting!

So I won't lie this is a hilarious book! It is exactly what I thought it would be. It shows you a good amount of sexual positions and then highlight with color what parts of your body you work on and how to maximize that workout.

Is it something I really want to be focusing on whole having sex with my girlfriend...? Nope! Did we find it fun to try? Sure did!

This book just seems like it hasn't nailed down what its audience actually is. For example, the two sections of the book both begin assuming you're a rank novice who doesn't know what S&M is an abbreviation of, and who has never played dirty-cop with a sex partner. And that's great - I'm always on the hunt for beginner-friendly books, things I can pass along to my friends for education or entertainment.

But then it moves onto essays on animal roleplay, or age play, or Mollena Williams' piece on edge play that includes scenes of rape, incest, gay-bashing, and a bit where a handicapped person gets thrown out of their wheelchair and beaten, and I go "oh thank god I didn't lend this to anyone yet." Don't get me wrong - these essays are brilliantly written, informative, and interesting, and definitely worth reading, but they are probably not necessary or useful in a book that *seems* to be aimed at beginners.

Perhaps the book is 4-stars, not 5. My review is designed to dilute the previous one-star condemnation. I'm totally baffled as to what is "pornish" and "juvenile" about this book. (Read my comments on her review.)

To be honest, I'm an interested novice on the subject of Kama Sutra, and probably don't know a 4-star from a 5-star read. I hoped to upload photos from the book for you to make your own decisions, but they are "nude" and forbidden to upload.

The photos are beautifully erotic, full color, lots of light and shadow, upscale, minimally explicit: yes, breasts; yes, some pubic hair; yes -- couples enjoying intercourse. The book is about sex, after all.

A life saver! Truly this book has been such a god send. I have a massive systemic overgrowth of candida that had been misdiagnosed for over 6 years by western "doctors". My physical therapist recommended this book and it could have been written about me! It was such an enormous relief to finally know what the underlying cause for ALL of my health issues was.
I am in month 6 of killing it off now, and the knowledge and information in this book continues to be invaluable to me as it drastically reduces fear and anxiety about all of the die off symptoms I continue to experience, because it describes all of them in detail, so I know it's all "normal" . Good and Simple

This is a good and very simple guide. So simple that it fails to explain some points. And I have noticed a few mistakes with recipes. But that is also an editors mistake. However, it is easy to read and understand and it gets right to the point. And I love that. I despise books that repeat things again and again. But if you are unfamiliar with Candida, you would probably need a more indepth book. If you just need a refresher or only want a surface education, this book is fine. I haven't tried many of the recipes but the ones I have tried are pretty good. But watch the salt content on the Almond Biscuits. Only use 1/4 tsp salt, not the stated 3/4 tsp. way too salty the way it is written.
